The square offers green space, a gateway element, seating area, flag pole, bicycle parking, sun screen gazebo, short term parking and a flexible open space for events. The purpose of the space is to both welcome visitors to the downtown and provide a multi-purpose gathering space. The parkette is a combination of hard and soft surfaces. Lighting is by way of LED street lighting.
