The project entailed us to do a visual inspection of the site and provide a condition survey report on the options for the framing of a new second floor to the building. Designed the second floor supported on a combination of existing basement walls and one new footing and column. The main floor layout was coordinated with the central column and beam system to not affect the proficient layout. A new exterior entrance allowed for barrier free by the introduction of an elevator with three stops. Due to the proximity to the property line and the elevator pit our team designed a shoring system.
