As part of the National Facilities Redevelopment Program, Halifax is the blood processing site for Eastern Canada. The Greenfield development incorporates many of the design features of the Brampton site.

PROJECT OUTLINE
Low energy consumption is ensured by the energy efficient designed and high performance envelope, mechanical and electrical systems. Thanks to the post-disaster design requirements full emergency power can be maintained throughout the building.
Similar to the Brampton site, the facility contains an array of amenities. Quality control production and distribution of blood and blood products is done on site. Along with logistics including management, warehousing, clinic operations, fleet management and administrative and staff amenities the centre has a huge range of capable facilities.
