A-Block Expansion on the Centennial College Progress Campus is a 6-storey 150,000 SF (45,732MM) carbon neutral building.

Constructed of mass timber it is partially used to support Indigenous Studies, Engineering Technologies and Applied Sciences.

In meeting the goals of sustainability and carbon neutral, embodied carbon is found in the mass timber structure and all finishes.

The main source of heating and cooling is through a variable refrigerant system flow (VRF) system and fan coil system. A DOAS system has been used as a heat recovery ventilation system.

LED lighting and no occupancy controls also add to the efficiency of the buildings.

Engineering solutions for tomorrow, today.
