Niagara College-Applied Health Science Building
Niagara College embarked upon an ambitious $90M campus redevelopment plan that includes significant improvements and additions to its Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake Campuses.
The College chose Mantecon Partners to provide engineering services for the infrastructure upgrades and the capital construction.The new Applied Health Sciences building includes 100,000 SF of classroom and lab space for new programs in Occupational Therapist, Dentistry, Assistant/Physiotherapist Assistant, Gerontology, Addictions Counseling, Mental Health Worker, Practical Nursing, Personal Support Worker, Children’s Mental Health Worker and Elder Care Advocate program students. The building is equipped with audio/video capabilities, a learning commons, an assessment and counseling space for retraining workers, three full simulation labs for practical nursing, as well as lecture rooms, classrooms, meeting spaces, and research labs. This building also offers clinical spaces for community clinics multiple times a week. The main campus 450-seat auditorium, is also found in the Applied Health Science Building.
