ST. THOMAS POLICE HEADQUARTERS

The new Police Headquarters was a response to the increased number of employees and the program delivery of the Police Services. Additionally, it served to assist with demands of present and future policing technologies.

PROJECT OUTLINE

This project was designed to meet the objectives of a LEED Silver building, and is approximately 30,000 square feet of finished floor area including an unfinished basement.

The new building features a state-of the art VRF heating and cooling system, in-slab heating within jail/holding cells, full security system and high efficiency lighting throughout the building. The lighting fixtures automatic lighting controls with daylight occupancy sensors.

The building consists of many different area with unique needs including sally-port for safe personal transfer; transport and police locker/washroom, exercise areas, flex office space and meeting space.
